CV Advice

When preparing your CV remember this is one thing a Client will scrutinise in order to see if you have the relevant skills and experience to match the vacant post. Ensure your CV is presented neatly, try and keep your CV within two pages of A4, make sure it flows, is easy to read, that you enhance the salient points and that it follows a logical pattern. Your CV should always include a Profile at the beginning, this is your one main chance to grab the Client's attention, it sells your skills and abilities.

The preparation you put into your CV will enable you to gain an interview. The last job you did should appear first. Focus positively on your attributes, do not waffle and be brief about hobbies. Give as much information about the experience/skills you have from your day to day duties in your previous jobs. A covering letter should indicate further information, your strengths relevant to specific job applications, salary expectations, etc do get spelling and title names correct and post “Private and Confidential”.

We have listed a format for a CV; the Consultants at Blue Square Recruitment will always comment and pass on positive advice to you regarding your CV at your personal interview. We can also assist you with the preparation of your CV following your interview.
